The Vathos water level indicator, much like a fuel gauge in a car, functions by measuring and displaying the water level in tanks of any size. The system consists of an master unit, two external display units, and a pressure measurement module.
The Vathos Master Unit has two columns of 11 rows of LEDs that displays the measured water level, and has a buzzer to sound an alarm when the water level is critically low.
The Vathos Water Level Measurement system is programmable to measure different tank levels.
Each row of LEDs indicates 200 mm of tank depth, except for row 7 which is set to a tank level of 100 mm so that 7 LED rows equal a 1300 mm deep tank.
When the tank is empty, all the LEDs will flash RED, and the buzzer will play a warning sound. The sound can be silenced for 5 minutes by pressing the ‘Down’ for more than 2 seconds until a confirmation tone is played out. After 5 minutes the sound will return if the tank is still empty.
A typical installation on a vehicle will include two external display modules, mounted on the sides of the vehicle.
The Vathos Remote Unit has two columns of 31 rows of LEDs that displays the measured water level.
The Pressure Sensor is connected to to the outlet of the tank before the pressure pump. The pressure sensor senses the water pressure and feeds the value to the Vathos Master Unit.
